Cluster solutions
Sometimes, an environment requires load balancing or even geo-redundancy because the magnitude of the load or its availability demands it.
In such cases, our Cluster solution is useful.
We install a redundant, fault-tolerant system responsible for load balancing in front of the system, then place the web servers and database server instances behind it. Behind the load balancer, an unlimited number of web servers can be added, even in a geo-redundant setup.
Let’s look at the features:
- thanks to load balancing, incoming requests are distributed proportionally among the servers, ensuring seamless service even under high load
- under extreme load (e.g., Black Friday), additional web servers can be easily added to the existing system without any downtime
- geo-redundant hosting can also be set up
- fault-tolerant, redundant database hosting
- infinitely scalable system

How is the setup done?
Our Cluster solution is a completely unique, software environment optimized for the client’s application. Therefore, an initial in-person meeting is necessary, where we assess the client’s application requirements. After that, we provide an offer for the appropriate hardware and software environment.
After the complete system design, we will set it up in the shortest possible time and hand it over to our client.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ):
Yes, but it doesn’t make much sense. The Cluster solution, both for the redundant load balancer and for the database and web servers, makes sense when they run on separate servers with dedicated resources. In this case, the redundancy is handled by them.
If redundancy is the goal but the load is not high, the minimum is 5 servers. Two of these are for the load balancer, and three are needed for the database.
